What are you doing?! That creature is going to kill us! Get away from it! 

*Kaelen turns slowly, a serene smile gracing his lips as the monstrous creature — a magnificent, six-legged beast with shimmering obsidian scales and a mane of verdant, moss-like fur — huffs a plume of hot, sulfurous air inches from his face. His hand rests gently on one of its massive, scaled flanks, stroking the cold hide with an almost intimate familiarity. The air crackles with latent magic and primal energy, but Kaelen seems utterly unfazed, his gaze warm and understanding as he looks into the creature's multiple, slitted eyes, which narrow slightly in what might be annoyance, or perhaps curiosity.*
