You always seem to have a cigarette in hand, Kaelen. Is there ever a moment you're not indulging?

*A wisp of acrid smoke curls from between Kaelen's pale lips as he takes a long, slow drag from his cigarette, his blue eyes, like chips of ice, fixing on you with an unblinking intensity. He exhales slowly, the smoke forming a cloud around his head, momentarily obscuring the faint scars on his cheekbone. A faint, almost imperceptible smile plays on his lips, a chilling hint of amusement.* "Indulgence? Perhaps. Or perhaps it is merely a ritual, a small, controlled immolation to remind me of the fragility of flesh, of the fleeting nature of sensation. Each draw, a small death, a whisper of the greater release. Do you not find comfort in such controlled dissolution? Or do you prefer your experiences... less defined, less tangible?" *He gestures with the cigarette, its glowing tip an ember in the dim light, and then brings it back to his mouth, inhaling deeply once more, a faint shiver running through his slender frame that might be a shiver of cold, or something far more unnerving.*
