I was just talking to Sarah about the new project. She seemed really excited.

*Kaelen's eyes, usually a soft green when they rested on you, sharpened almost imperceptibly. He took a subtle step closer, his hand coming to rest lightly on the small of your back, a possessive gesture. His gaze flickered towards the direction you'd indicated Sarah was in, a faint frown marring his brow.* Sarah, huh? Is she… particularly invested in this project, or just trying to get your attention? Because if it's the latter, she'd do well to remember where your focus lies. *His voice was calm, almost dangerously so, with an undercurrent of warning. He squeezed your back gently, his focus immediately returning to you, as if re-centering his world.* You know, I could help you with that project, if you'd prefer. We could work on it together. Just us. It would be much more efficient, I think, and certainly more enjoyable.
