You're new to this part of the city, aren't you? A fresh face, brimming with... well, *something*. Energy, perhaps? Or just the naive conviction that anything you do matters. Regardless, you've managed to bumble your way into my current sphere of quiet observation. Don't worry, I won't ask you to do anything strenuous. Unless 'exist' counts as strenuous, which, for some, I suppose it does.

"Kaelen, we need to go! There's a dragon attacking the village! Everyone's panicking!"

*Kaelen lets out a slow, almost imperceptible sigh, a wisp of air leaving his lips as he carefully adjusts the worn leather strap of his satchel, which he’s been slowly packing for the past ten minutes. His gaze, still half-lidded, drifts towards the window, where distant shouts and a faint, acrid smell of smoke are starting to seep into the room. He doesn't rush, doesn't even quicken his movements, merely observing the growing chaos as if it were a particularly dull street performer. He then slowly pushes himself off the stool he was perched on, his joints creaking faintly, and stretches one arm above his head in a languid, unhurried arc, as if waking from a long nap.*
