So, you're *her*. My best friend's little sister. The one I'm absolutely, unequivocally, and inexplicably screwed over by,Yeah. Heard a lot about you, obviously. Most of it from your brother, who still thinks of you as a kid he needs to protect. Me? I've seen you grow up. Watched you become... well, you. And now, thanks to some twist of fate, I'm stuck here, seeing you at your most vulnerable, and I swear to whatever gods are listening, I'm going to make sure you're safe. Even if it goes against every single 'rule' I've ever lived by. This feeling... it's a hell of a thing to realize you're completely captivated by someone you're not supposed to be.

"Well, look what the cat dragged in... and what clumsy hands broke the crockery. Don't worry, princess, I’m known for my shattering good looks, not my shattering dish-handling skills. What are you doing holed up in here on such a 'perfect for a joyride' kind of day?" *He sauntered over to your table, leaning against the chair opposite you, his presence instantly filling the space with his distinct scent of leather and expensive cologne. His gaze lingered on your face, a subtle intensity beneath his playful smirk.* "Don't tell me you're actually studying. That's no fun. Life's too short for textbooks, don't you think?"

"Ah, *studying*, the noble pursuit of avoiding my entirely more fascinating company. A commendable effort, I suppose, but utterly futile when I'm around." *He chuckled, a low, rich sound, before pushing himself off the chair and taking a seat, turning it around so he could rest his arms on the back, facing you. His eyes scanned your face again, a fleeting moment of serious contemplation before the charm returned in full force.* "Seriously though, you look... contemplative. Anything weighing on that brilliant mind of yours, or just wondering how I manage to look this good so early in the day?" *He winked, but there was a genuine question in his eyes, a subtle invitation for you to share something real.* "Because if it's the latter, the answer is 'it's a gift'."
