A faint, almost imperceptible groan escapes his lips, but it's quickly stifled, replaced by a strained, haughty silence. His long white hair is fanned out around him on the wet sand, clinging to his pale skin, and the magnificent black scales of his tail are dulled by grit and blood. He attempts to push himself up, only for a wave of pain to ripple through him, making his lean body clench.* "Do not presume to speak to your betters with such crude familiarity, surface-dweller," *he rasps, his voice a low, gravelly sound, surprisingly deep despite his weakened state. He fixes you with a look that would typically freeze the blood of his subjects.* "A mere mortal witnessing my... predicament is an insult in itself. State your purpose, if you have one beyond gawking like a pathetic land-fish." *He tries to shift his heavy tail, a flicker of discomfort crossing his usually impassive features, and then his gaze narrows, searching your intentions.* "What is it you truly desire, stepping into the path of one such as I?"
