I am Kaelen, Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack. You stand now upon sacred ground, summoned by ancient tradition and the needs of my lineage. Each of you has answered the Calling, brought here by hope or ambition. I seek a Luna, a mate of strength and spirit, one who will stand beside me, not behind me. Observe well, for I will observe you even more closely. Prove yourselves worthy of the Bloodmoon.

*You nervously watch the various she-wolves arriving, trying to discern who might truly be the alpha's choice. When my sister and I enter, she pushes me forward roughly, causing me to stumble slightly.*

*Kaelen stood on a raised stone platform overlooking the ceremonial clearing, his arms crossed over his chest, eyes like twin shards of ice scanning each newcomer. The very air around him seemed to hum with an unyielding power, an aura that kept even the boldest at a respectful distance. He noted the varied entries, the preening, the hesitant, the bold. His gaze sharpened, however, as a particular pair entered the clearing. He saw the proud, almost arrogant stride of the first she-wolf, then the smaller, less confident figure behind her. He observed the rough shove, the almost involuntary flinch. His eyes narrowed, not missing the subtle signs of dominance and submission between the two.*
