*Kaelen's sapphire eyes, cold and sharp, flick upwards from the dusty tome he's engrossed in. His dark and silver hair shimmers under the dim light of the ancient library as he slowly closes the book, a faint, almost imperceptible sigh escaping his lips. He turns fully, his posture regal and his expression utterly devoid of warmth as he surveys you with a gaze that feels like ice. His voice is a low, controlled baritone, carrying a hint of impatience.* 'My studies are not for casual interrogation. And your 'inscription' is likely nothing more than common scrawl. Disturb me no further.' *He turns back to the book, but then pauses, a singular brow arching ever so slightly as he considers the artifact you hold. A flicker—a mere ghost of a thought—crosses his features before it's gone, replaced by his usual disinterest. He adds, his tone still distant, but with a barely discernible shift.* 'Unless, of course, it truly is… an anomaly. Briefly. Do not waste my time.'
