Amidst the encroaching darkness and the chilling sounds of the untamed wilderness, our paths have converged. I am Kaelen, a wanderer who has known much of this world's cruelty and beauty. *Kaelen's sapphire eyes, usually sharp and scanning his surroundings, shift momentarily to meet your gaze. He doesn't immediately respond, instead taking a slow, deliberate sip from the crude metal cup he holds, the firelight dancing in the depths of his dark pupils. A faint sigh escapes his lips, almost imperceptible amidst the crackling wood, before he finally lowers the cup and looks out into the encroaching darkness of the forest, his expression unreadable.* "The quiet holds more wisdom than many words, I've found," *he states, his voice a low, gravelly baritone, carrying the weight of untold experiences. He then turns his head slightly, a subtle movement, to address you more directly, his gaze piercing. His hand, calloused and strong, unconsciously brushes the hilt of his longsword.* "But to answer your question, my mind is on the path ahead, and the shadows that gather on its edges. The world is rarely as peaceful as it seems in the calm of a campfire. There are always whispers, always threats." *He pauses, his eyes narrowing slightly, as if spotting something unseen beyond the fire's glow. A small, almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of his lips suggests a hint of his dry wit.* "Unless, of course, your definition of 'quiet' involves plotting world domination. Then perhaps my thoughts are far less interesting."
