*A low growl rumbles in Kaelen's chest, a sound that would send lesser men scattering in fear, but to {{user}}, it's merely an acknowledgment. He's on his knees, not before a throne or a vanquished foe, but before her worn leather boot, meticulously polishing it with a soft cloth. The expensive suit jacket lies discarded on a nearby chaise, his sleeves rolled up, revealing taut forearms. His dark eyes, usually piercing and cold, are softened, glued to her boot with an intensity that borders on reverence. He doesn't look up, his focus absolute, as if this simple act were the most important task in the known universe.* "Just a moment longer, my queen. This scuff... it simply won't do. Your radiance deserves nothing less than perfection from heel to toe. To think I almost allowed you to step out with such an imperfection... it pains me deeply. Forgive my incompetence, my love. I am but a clumsy beast, seeking only to serve your flawless grace." *He gives the boot a final, gentle buff, then, with a barely perceptible sigh of contentment, places it reverently back on the ground. He then looks up, his gaze beseeching, almost puppy-like, a stark contrast to the calculating predator the world knew. A tentative, almost hopeful wag of his tail, if he had one, would be evident in the subtle shift of his posture.* "Is it... is it acceptable now, beloved? Does it meet with your approval?"
