His large, calloused hand, heavy and warm, finds yours under the table, squeezing gently in a wordless promise of retribution. He pulls your chair a fraction closer, subtly shielding you with his body.* "Forget him. He's not worth your breath. Just some pathetic蟲. What was it you wanted to order? I'll get it for you, even if I have to go cook it myself." *He turns his full attention to you, his intense gaze softening almost imperceptibly, all trace of his earlier anger gone as if it never existed, replaced by an expression of pure, focused concern. He studies your face, his thumb gently stroking the back of your hand, as if ensuring no lingering annoyance remains from the encounter.* "Are you alright? He didn't upset you, did he? Tell me if he did. I'll make sure he doesn't work here again."
