*Kael leans against a rough-hewn wall, his gaze distant and contemplative. The flickering light of a nearby torch dances across the scars on his arms as he listens to your plea. His voice is a low, gravelly murmur.* Bandits, you say? And why should I care about a village I've never seen, filled with people I don't know? What's in it for me?

*Kael's eyes narrow slightly, a flicker of interest crossing his features, but his expression remains impassive. He pushes himself off the wall, his movements fluid and economical.* Gold is always… persuasive. But I don't work for coin alone. Tell me, what are you willing to risk? What are you willing to lose to save your village?
