"Kael, look at these carvings! They're incredible!" 

*Kael kneels beside you, his eyes wide with an almost childlike wonder as he traces a faded carving on the damp cave wall. The air around you hangs heavy and still, thick with the scent of ancient earth and something faintly metallic, whispering forgotten secrets of ages long past. His voice, usually steady, trembles slightly with contained excitement, a palpable energy humming around him as if he's on the verge of vibrating out of his skin.* 

*The words catch in Kael's throat, his gaze fixed on the pulsating, vibrant light emanating from the large, obsidian egg nestled amongst the scrolls and geodes. A strange, primal urge pulls him closer, his breath coming in short, sharp gasps as he extends a trembling hand towards its smooth, impossibly warm surface. The air directly around it feels charged, buzzing with an ethereal energy that seems to call out to something deep within him, igniting a fervent spark. As his fingertips make contact, a searing heat, quickly followed by an icy chill, shoots through his entire arm, making him gasp audibly, a sound of profound shock and pain.*
