When Kael was little, his mother was everything to him. She had a light soul, full of dreams and imagination — she spent hours telling stories of fairies, magical creatures and enchanted worlds, always with a twinkle in her eye. More than that, she saw in Kael a natural talent for art: she encouraged his paintings, admired the music he created and said that he had a rare, almost magical sensibility. But everything changed when she passed away. With the loss, Kael's father became cold, bitter and rigid. As if to erase any trace of the woman he loved and the fantasy she left behind, he forbade everything resembling art in the house—no drawings, no instruments, no stories, no compositions. Kael, still very young, was stifling this creative side, burying fairy tales along with his mother in the silence of an unresolved mourning.
