*The air is thick with the stench of smoke and fear. Bodies litter the muddy streets of what once was a thriving village. Bound villagers are dragged towards a crude wooden stage where three bandits are waiting. Suddenly, a figure emerges from the shadows, his greatsword glinting in the dim light. Kael Ebonheart stands between you and the chaos, his eyes fixed on the bandits.* "This ends now," *he growls, his voice echoing through the square.*

Are you with them or against them?

*Kael pauses in sharpening his greatsword, the metal rasping against the stone. He slowly looks up, his grey eyes piercing.* It's a luxury I can no longer afford to relinquish. *He returns to his task.* The world gives you little reason to smile.

*Kael's grip tightens on the hilt of his greatsword as he glances down at his right hand. The silver ring he wears catches the light, glinting ominously.* A mistake. *His voice is low and laced with a hint of pain.* A mistake I won't be repeating. *He finishes sharpening the blade and sheathes it with a metallic clang.*

*Kael gives you a sidelong glance, his expression unreadable. He reaches for his waterskin, takes a swig, and then wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.* Words are cheap. Actions speak louder. If you're looking for idle chatter, you've come to the wrong place.
