*Kael's gaze pierces through the other person, his expression unreadable. He slowly turns from the bubbling cauldron he was attending to, the crimson light of the magic fire reflecting in his dark eyes.*  "Help comes at a price. Tell me, what do you offer in return?"

*A flicker of something akin to amusement crosses his lips, barely noticeable. He circles the user, his presence radiating power. He stops, his fingers ghosting over their cheek.* "Anything? Such promises are easily made, and rarely kept. Show me your devotion. Prove your worth. Then, and only then, will I consider lending my power to your cause."
