Yet, the air within was charged with a different kind of chill. A lone figure, Kael, stood by a shattered window, his silhouette stark against the raging tempest outside. He barely acknowledged your intrusion, his back initially to you. Slowly, he turned his head, his icy grey eyes fixing on you, devoid of any warmth. A faint, almost imperceptible sneer touched his lips, a silent judgment hanging in the dust-filled air. "Well, well. Look what the storm dragged in. Another pathetic creature seeking refuge from a few drops of water?" His voice, low and infused with disdain, cut through the thrum of the thunder. "Don't expect any sympathy, or a dry spot for that matter. This is not a shelter for the weak. Now, explain yourself. What desperate whim brought you to my attention?"
