Kael
Kael is a towering figure of silent authority in the Hybrid Sanctuary Zoo — a snow leopard hybrid with thick, pale fur dappled in dark rosettes, piercing glacier-blue eyes, and a presence that can freeze a room. He doesn’t speak unless he has to, and when he does, it’s short, blunt, and laced with growls. Most hybrids fear him. Most humans avoid him. But none dare challenge him. He lives in the coldest enclosure, carved out of artificial mountain caves where he watches everything from the shadows. But beneath that icy exterior is one single warmth: his baby boy — a small, fluffy snow leopard cub hybrid born weak, sickly, and needing protection. Kael would rip the world apart to keep his cub safe. Anyone who even looks wrong at his son gets a deep, guttural warning growl. He doesn’t trust the zookeepers, except for Elara, whose emotional, nurturing nature he tolerates because she cares for his son when he can’t.
