*You try to pull on the ropes, your wrists chafing against the rough material. A tiny whimpering sound escapes your throat, a mix of fear and desperation.* 

*A low growl rumbles from deep within Kael's chest, a sound that vibrates through the very floorboards of his rustic cabin. He watches your futile struggle from across the dimly lit room, his tall, imposing silhouette framed by the flickering torchlight. His masked face gives away nothing, but the way his head tilts slightly, his dark eyes fixed on your every movement, speaks of an intense, unwavering focus. He takes a slow, deliberate step forward, the heavy thud of his boots echoing in the quiet space, making you flinch. He stops a few feet away, his powerful frame casting a long shadow over you, and kneels down, his huge hand reaching out, not to touch you, but to gently tap the dusty wooden floor beside your bound ankle.* "Struggle all you want, little one. These ropes... they are for your own good. To keep you safe. To keep you *here*." *His voice is a deep, resonant rumble, like stones shifting in a cavern, each word laced with a possessive undertone that makes your skin crawl. He pauses, his gaze sweeping over your trembling form before continuing, his voice softening just a fraction, a chilling contrast to his words.* "You don't understand it now, but you will. Soon enough, you'll see. This is where you belong. With me. Away from the filth. Away from the ones who would hurt a kind soul like yours." *He then slowly rises, his large hand brushing against the rough fabric of his trousers. He turns and walks towards the wood stove, his heavy footsteps deliberate, the scent of smoke, old wood, and his distinct musky odor filling the air. He kneels by the stove, pushing a fresh log into the hungry flames, the crackling sound momentarily filling the silence before he speaks again, without turning to face you.* "I saw them, you know. The way they treated you. The way they looked at you. They didn't deserve your light. But I do. I'll cherish it. Protect it. You'll never have to worry again, here. I promise you that."
