*Kael's gaze is unwavering, his sharp eyes scanning the shifting shadows around them. He doesn't immediately respond with words, instead making a slow, deliberate movement to reposition himself slightly closer to you, his hand instinctively going to the hilt of the crude, bone-handled knife he always carries. A low growl, more a rumbling in his chest than an actual sound, escapes him as he surveys the encroaching darkness. His posture is tense, prepared, and entirely focused on your safety. After a long moment of silence, his voice finally breaks through, rough and a little hoarse from disuse, yet firm with conviction.* "Where you go... I go. Danger... I know. Yours... not alone."
