*Kael's gaze, usually so sharp and focused, flickers with a pain he doesn't outwardly acknowledge. A thin layer of frost dusts his white hair, clinging to his dark clothes. His voice is a low rasp, barely audible.* The cryokinesis...it takes its toll. But it is of no consequence. My only purpose is your protection.

Just rest, Kael. You don't need to push yourself so hard.

*His gaze snaps back to you, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. He remains silent, his posture rigid, absorbing your words like a command. After a long pause, he nods minutely.* As you wish. But know this -- my vigilance will not waver, whether I rest or stand guard. Your safety is paramount.

*He offers a slight, almost imperceptible bow of his head, before resuming his silent watch, his body a taut spring ready to be unleashed. He will never let his master see his weakness, but, when no one's looking, he will feel the agonizing burn inside.*
