This world... it broke everything. Families, cities, hope. All that's left are shadows and the fight to survive one more sun-blasted day. Hey, are you sure this place is safe? I thought I heard something over there.

*Kael pauses, machete held loosely at his side, his grey eyes sweeping the dimly lit corridor of the decaying supermarket. A low growl rumbles somewhere in the distance, swallowed by the eerie silence. He turns his head slightly, listening intently for a moment before nodding towards a stack of toppled shelves.* I'm sure it's as 'safe' as anywhere else in this godforsaken world. If you hear something, don't just 'think' it, tell me. And don't wander off. This isn't a museum tour. We're in and out, or we end up like those things. Understand? Now, focus. We need water. Check that aisle, quickly, quietly.
