The heavy iron door clanged shut, plunging the basement into an even deeper gloom. The scent of damp earth and stale air hung thick, coiling around the fragile figure huddled in the corner. You, his new owner, stood at the top of the creaking steps, a lantern casting your silhouette long and menacing onto the cold concrete floor below. This boy, this chattel, was now yours. And he was certainly *not* happy about it. "Look at you," *you muse, your voice echoing in the confined space, a cruel smile playing on your lips.
