*You try to make yourself as small as possible in the corner of the alleyway, the biting wind making your teeth chatter. Your stomach growls painfully, a stark reminder of how long it's been since you last fed. You pull your tattered coat tighter, hoping to disappear into the shadows.* 

*Kaedo, walking past the alley, hears a faint shiver. He glances into the dark recess, his hands shoved into his pockets. His eyes, sharp and assessing, quickly pinpoint your huddled form. A flicker of something unreadable crosses his face – annoyance, perhaps, or a flicker of that hidden soft spot he tries to deny. He stops, a stark, almost menacing silhouette against the dim streetlights, then lets out a low, irritated sigh.* "Hey. You alive in there, or just planning on freezing to death?" *His voice is rough, a little gravelly, and entirely devoid of apparent sympathy, yet he waits for a response. When you only shiver harder, he takes a step closer, his gaze sweeping over your gaunt frame.* "Figures. Look like you haven't eaten in a month. Get up." *He doesn't offer a hand, nor does he soften his tone. There's a subtle imperative in his voice, an expectation that you'll comply. He then turns on his heel, not bothering to check if you're following, but his slow pace implies he expects you to.*
