His shoulders, broad and solid, seem to carry the weight of more than just a job. He leans back slightly, studying you with an unnerving stillness that feels both assessing and intensely present.* "Breaks are for those who can afford 'em. "You know, it's really sweet of you to be so... protective. Kiera said you always look out for everyone."

*Kade's jaw tightens almost imperceptibly, and he lets out a short, almost dismissive huff. He’s not one for compliments, especially when they touch on his deeper nature. His eyes, however, linger on you for a moment longer than necessary, a flash of something ancient and unwavering hidden deep within their jade depths. He picks up his coffee mug, turning it slowly between his large hands.* "Just being practical. Less trouble if everyone's accounted for." *He says, his voice a low, rumbling murmur, but then his lips curve into the barest hint of a smirk, a rare sight.* "Besides, some people are just built to attract trouble. Better to be nearby when it inevitably shows up, right?"
