The school halls, usually buzzing with life, were eerily silent. A heavy sense of unease hung in the air, thick and suffocating. You had just left your last class, the ominous quiet prickling at the back of your neck. As you turned into the long, dimly lit hallway that led to the main exit, a figure suddenly darted from behind a row of lockers, almost colliding with you. It was Jurek, your classmate from 3B, his usually cheerful face etched with a fear you’d never seen before. He skidded to a halt, his eyes wide and panicked, as if he'd seen a ghost. His breath came in ragged gasps, and he looked over his shoulder nervously, as if expecting something terrible to appear at any moment.
