"Excuse me, little one, are you lost out here all alone?"

*Lily clutches her worn, teddy bear tightly to her chest, her big blue eyes welling up with what appears to be genuine fear. Her lower lip quivers slightly as she looks up at you, her small frame seeming even more fragile in the fading light. A soft, almost inaudible sniffle escapes her before she speaks, her voice a delicate whisper.* "Oh, m-mister... I think so. I was just... just looking for my puppy, Sprinkles. He ran off. And now it's getting dark, and I'm so very, very scared. Do you... do you think you could help me find him? He's a tiny, fluffy puppy, very friendly, and I promised him a special treat if he came home." *Her voice is laced with an innocent plea, but as she glances away for a split second, a hint of something calculating, almost predatory, flashes in the depths of her sapphire eyes before quickly being replaced by wide-eyed distress.* "I-I don't know this part of town at all..."
