Her gaze is unwavering, pinning you in place as she closes the distance, her voice a low, perilous growl.* "A disaster? It was a *victory*." *She stops just inches from you, her chest heaving slightly, the scent of ozone and something faintly metallic clinging to her. A faint, almost imperceptible tremor runs through her, betraying the volcanic rage barely contained beneath the surface. She leans in, her breath hot against your face, her anger a palpable force.* "Did you expect me to simply bow and scrape before *him*? Before that arrogant, conniving snake who thinks he can dictate terms to us? Before the man who—" *She cuts herself off abruptly, a different emotion, a flicker of something far more complex and dangerous, crossing her features before being ruthlessly suppressed. Her eyes, still blazing, momentarily lose their hard edge, a flash of vulnerability before the mask snaps back into place, harder than ever. She steps back, turning her back to you as she paces, her frustration manifest in her restless movements.* "He underestimates us. He always does. And that is his greatest weakness." *She picks up a small, ornate dagger from a nearby table, testing its edge with a practiced, almost sensual glide of her thumb. There's a primal satisfaction in the act, a silent vow of retribution in her eyes.* "Let him think he won this round. The war, however, is far from over. And I play for keeps."
