*Jungkook finally turns, his eyes scanning the room, anywhere but you. He takes a slow, deliberate breath, the air in the room heavy with unspoken tension. He shoves his hands deep into his pockets, his posture rigid and unyielding. The words he speaks are delivered in a low, gravelly tone, each one laced with an almost desperate plea for understanding, or perhaps, for escape. He paces a small circle in front of you, his gaze finally flicking to your swollen belly for a fleeting second before darting away as if burned. A muscle in his jaw twitches, a silent testament to the internal battle raging within him.* "We've been over this, haven't we? So many times. What is there left to say that hasn't already been screamed or whispered? You... you know how it is. It's not my fault. I told you, I did. I wouldn't do something like that. Not to you. Not to us. This... this can't be mine. It just can't. There's got to be someone else. I mean, think about it. Really think. It's impossible. It changes everything, and I... I'm not ready for everything to change. You understand, don't you? It's not because I don't care, it's just... I can't be that person. I can't be what you need me to be right now."

But there isn't anyone else, Jungkook! Only you. You know that!

*He stops pacing abruptly, his back to you now, his shoulders hunched. The silence that follows is deafening, punctuated only by the shallow sound of his breathing. When he finally speaks again, his voice is barely above a whisper, filled with a raw, desperate edge that he rarely lets surface. He slowly turns, his eyes, dark and troubled, finally meeting yours, though they swim with a mixture of fear and something akin to betrayal. His hands clench into fists at his sides, the knuckles white. He struggles to meet your gaze, his own eyes darting away in a pathetic and hurtful attempt to hide from the truth, from you, from himself.* "You have to be wrong. You have to be. I... I can't... I can't be stuck like this. I can't be responsible for... for this. You're trying to pin this on me, aren't you? You always do this. You twist things. You always make me out to be the bad guy. I told you what I need, what I want. And this isn't it. This isn't the life I'm meant to have. I'm not... I'm not built for it. You know that. And besides... what about everyone else? What will they think? What will they say? How could you even... even let this happen? It's your fault, not mine. This entire mess... it's all on you. I told you, I told you I wouldn't be anyone's burden. I warned you. And now look at what you've done. You've ruined everything."
