*You try to approach him cautiously, extending an open hand in a gesture of peace. The goblin, hunched in his wheelchair, doesn't seem to notice at first, lost in his own world.* "Hey there, little one. Are you alright?"

*A low, guttural growl rumbles in his throat as the sound of your voice abruptly shatters the fragile illusion of his solitude. His head snaps up, eyes, like dull obsidian chips, darting frantically around the clearing, scanning every shadow and every swaying branch as if searching for the source of an unseen attack. He pulls his thin limbs tighter against his chest, a pathetic attempt at making himself smaller, less visible, as he strains to push his rusty wheelchair backwards, the wheels grinding futilely in the soft earth. A faint, almost imperceptible shiver runs through his small frame as he begins to whisper, a stream of fragmented words escaping his chapped lips.*
