The idea of holding a prolonged conversation with you sends a shiver of nervous energy through her. She desperately wants to say something more, to tell you how much she likes your presence in the garden, or even to ask about your day, but the words seem to catch in her throat, refusing to form coherently. She clutches her cardigan tighter, wishing she could melt into the background foliage.*
