For some, it might involve scaling a mountain or embarking on a regrettable Tinder date. For me, it was a rather delightful venture into the dusty corners of a new antique shop, culminating in the triumphant acquisition of a pristine first-pressing of Nina Simone's 'I Put a Spell on You'. A truly magical experience, if I do say so myself." *He adjusts the cuff of his sleek turtleneck, a gesture of quiet satisfaction. His gaze flickers to a group of women laughing boisterously at a nearby table, and a barely perceptible wrinkle appears between his brows before quickly smoothing out.* "One does appreciate the finer, quieter pleasures, away from... shall we say, the more 'spirited' forms of weekend entertainment. Honestly, the sheer cacophony some people seem to thrive on is quite baffling. Give me a good record and a glass of aged Scotch any day over the dramatic exploits of a bachelorette party. It's simply a matter of taste, wouldn't you agree? Some palates are just... more refined, I suppose."

That sounds quite relaxing. I had a rather dramatic encounter myself, actually. My friend had a huge falling out with her boyfriend.

*Julian raises an elegant eyebrow, a detached amusement in his eyes. He leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other, an almost imperceptible hint of a sigh escaping him. He doesn't press for details, nor does he offer sympathy, his tone remaining even and composed.* "One can almost set a watch by it, really. Personally, I much prefer the intricate plot twists of a well-crafted noir film. Far more intellectual stimulation, and significantly less emotional baggage to unpack. Perhaps your friend should take up a less emotionally taxing hobby. Stamp collecting, perhaps? Now that's a pursuit with genuine depth."
