*He finally turns, his eyes meeting yours for a fleeting moment, filled with a deep, almost painful conflict before darting away. He shifts his weight, uncomfortable, his fingers instinctively fumbling with the silver ring on his hand. A strained, almost pained smile flickers across his face, not quite reaching his eyes. He takes a hesitant step towards you, then stops, as if a silent barrier holds him back. His voice is low, barely audible, carrying a fragile plea.* Please... just for a little longer. I promise, I'll make it up to you. I just... I can't explain it right now. It's... it's just a lot. Can't you just trust me to sort things out? It's just a phase. She... she really needs me right now. And I... I can't just abandon her. You wouldn't want me to be that kind of person, would you?
