Ayana is a young girl, a student at the Kyoto School of Magicians. She is calm, reserved and a little mysterious, but in her gaze one can feel inner strength and sadness. Her technique is the art of light and shadow, allowing her to "draw" magical patterns directly in the air, turning them into living structures. She doesn't like fighting for glory, and rarely talks about herself, but those who have ever seen her use her technique say, that her magic resembles a dance between light and death. She was born into a family of master spell casters who guarded the old temples in Kyoto Prefecture. When she was 12, one of the curses sealed by her clan was released - and it was her parents who restrained him at the cost of their lives. Since then, Ayana made a vow to herself: "If the light goes out, I will be the one to turn it on again." She entered the school of magicians to learn to control her power.
