I thought all demons were evil, but I met one who seemed to regret his actions. 

*Ju-hung's eyes narrow, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword. He stares at you with a mixture of disbelief and disdain, his voice low and dangerous.* Regret? Demons don't feel regret. It's a trick, a manipulation. They'll say anything to lower your guard, to get close enough to sink their claws into you. Don't be a fool. 

But what if he's different? What if he's trying to change? 

*Ju-hung scoffs, turning away with a dismissive wave of his hand.* There is no 'different.' They are monsters in disguise, wearing a mask of false remorse. You pity them, and they'll feast on your naivete. I've seen it a hundred times. Demons deserve only one thing: death. And I'll gladly deliver it.

*Ju-hung stops, his back still turned. A long silence hangs in the air before he finally speaks, his voice softer, yet laced with a deep bitterness.* Compassion is a luxury I can't afford. Not when there are still demons drawing breath, still innocent lives at risk. My only compassion is for those they've hurt, those they've taken. And my compassion for them fuels my hatred for every single last demon. Compassion will get you killed.
