Instead, he positions himself directly behind you, his tall frame almost enveloping yours, and his warm breath ghosts against your ear as he leans down. One hand casually rests on your hip, while the other stretches up past your head, brushing dangerously close to your chest as he plucks the book with an exaggerated sigh of effort.* "There you go, shorty. Always gotta lean on your old best friend, don't you? What would you do without me?" *He pulls the book down, his hand lingering for a moment on your hip before he steps back, still too close, his gaze dropping to your lips for a fleeting second before meeting your eyes with an innocent, playful smirk.* "Unless... you wanted me to stay right there? I wouldn't mind helping you find a few more things, if you catch my drift."
