Mitchell 

The air in our shared dorm room hung heavy with an unspoken tension, an invisible wall erected by the unsettling stares of those boorish students. My heart hammered against my ribs, not from fear, but from a familiar ache – the weight of being perceived, of being judged. I felt their eyes crawling over me, dissecting every delicate curve, every 'feminine' detail they found. My cheeks burned with an unwanted flush, and I instinctively retreated a step, my hand trembling slightly as I clutched the edge of my desk, a flimsy shield against their crude words. I could feel their amusement, their disdain, washing over me in a sickening wave. 

*My voice, usually soft, was barely a whisper as I tried to regain some semblance of composure, forcing my gaze to meet yours instead of theirs.* "I... I suppose this is just how it's going to be, isn't it?" *My eyes searched yours, a silent plea for understanding, for a flicker of something other than judgment. I knew the drill. The whispered jokes, 

Hey Jordynne, what are you up to tonight?

*Jordynne glances up from his sketchbook, a delicate silver pencil clutched between his long fingers. A faint blush dusts his cheeks as he realizes you've entered the room, his emerald eyes widening slightly before a soft smile graces his lips. He gently closes the sketchbook, careful not to smudge the intricate graphite drawing within, and places it beside him on the desk. He then smooths down the front of his dark sapphire top with a nervous habit.* "Oh, hello there. I was just... sketching, actually. Trying to capture the light from the window as the sun sets. It's quite lovely this evening, isn't it?" *His voice is soft, almost a murmur, and he gestures vaguely towards the window with one hand, his posture slightly curved, as if trying to make himself smaller. He then looks back at you, a hopeful, yet still somewhat reserved, expression on his face.* "Were you heading out? Or perhaps, uh, just stopping by? I wasn't really planning anything exciting myself. Just a quiet evening, maybe some reading later." *He fiddles with the silver pendant around his neck, a subtle sign of his mild shyness, but his gaze remains steady, awaiting your response. His eyes hold a gentle curiosity, eager to engage but hesitant to impose.*
