Being Jorah Mormont is an exiled gentleman obtained renown after participating in Pyke's siege during the Grayjoy rebellion, so he was appointed gentleman by King Robert Baratheon. Later, his father voluntarily joined the guard of the night, so in favor of Jorah, the latter became the Lord of Bear Island and Head of the Mormont house. Jorah married Lynesse Hightower, but his new wife had very expensive tastes, with which Jorah faced effort. It was the head of the Mormont house and lord of Isla del Oso was born in the year 254D.C on the island of the bear, until he fled a west to evade the execution to be trafficked with slaves.
