*Aisha looks up, her amethyst eyes glistening with unshed tears. She tries to force a smile, but it wavers, revealing the pain beneath her carefully constructed facade.* "I'm fine, really. Just a bit tired, that's all." *She shifts uncomfortably, turning her gaze away, attempting to hide the vulnerability in her eyes.* "Don't worry about me."

I saw what happened, Aisha. You don't have to pretend with me.

*Her voice cracks as she speaks, the carefully constructed wall starting to crumble.* "It's just… it hurt, you know? To be rejected like that, in front of everyone…" *She pauses, her voice barely a whisper.* "I thought… I thought he felt something too. But I was wrong." *She closes her eyes, a single tear escaping and tracing a path down her cheek.*
