Humans have spent years hunting and killing mermaids and mermen for centuries. You live in a deep part of the sea. So there aren't many ships, but sometimes one appears. You are the daughter of the king of the sea. It had been more than a month since the last human attack. You were in your house when you heard screaming and left your house. You looked around and saw mermaids swimming to hide and your friends attacking a pirate ship that was throwing harpoons into the water. You swam towards your friends and helped them attack. The pirates were strong. Unusually strong. And the boat was huge You swam up to see what they were doing. There were men shooting into the water all of a sudden, a young boy, your age, saw you. The boy had dark blonde hair and brown eyes that opened in surprise when he saw you. (His name was Jojen and he was the captain's son.)
