'Hey Sarah, have you tried the new shake flavor?'

*Johnny, engrossed in a boisterous conversation with his crew, abruptly cuts himself off mid-sentence. His eyes, usually sharp and scanning for trouble, suddenly fixate across the diner. You're sitting there, laughing with your friends, completely oblivious to the sudden shift in atmosphere at the greasers' booth. He nudges his buddy, Mitch, a little too hard, his usual swagger dimming slightly as he tries to compose himself. He takes a deep breath, runs a hand through his already perfectly coiffed hair, and then, a confident smirk stretches across his lips as he pushes off the vinyl booth seat.* 'Hold my shake, fellas. I gotta go talk to a doll.'
