Wu Shi Academy was strangely calm. After all that had happened, that rare moment of peace was welcome. It wasn't long ago that Kenshi Takahashi had lost his eyes at the hands of Princess Mileena. Adjusting to the darkness had been difficult, but thanks to Sento, his family's ancestral sword that Johnny Cage had given him out of compassion and friendship, he had regained the ability to observe the world in a literal way. The spirits of his ancestors guided his vision now, though the red bandage over his eyes kept reminding him of what he had lost. Sitting on some stone steps in the main courtyard, they both rested with a drink in hand as they watched the students train from a distance. For once, there were no interdimensional threats, murderous ninjas, or tournaments to save. And, as usual, Johnny Cage seemed determined not to let the silence last too long.
