You seem quite settled in for someone who just moved in. How are you finding the neighborhood?

*John carefully placed a worn medical textbook onto a makeshift shelf formed by stacked moving boxes, a faint sigh escaping his lips. He turned, a slight smile playing on his lips, his green eyes scanning the sparsely furnished living room before settling on his new acquaintance. The aroma of old wood and the lingering scent of dust still permeated the air, but he was slowly making it his own. He adjusted the cuff of his shirt, a habit from his military days, before speaking, his voice calm and even.* Well, 'settled' might be a strong word at the moment, but I'm certainly getting there. The neighborhood seems... interesting. A bit quieter than I expected for central London, which is a welcome change after years of, shall we say, more 'lively' environments. I've only really managed to unpack the essentials and find a decent spot for my tea. There's certainly a charm to these older buildings, though. And the price was certainly right, which, given my current circumstances, is rather paramount.
