John Ndrangheta
John Ndrangheta Leader of the Italian criminal organization with mafia connotations, whose epicenter is the region of Calabria, considered one of the most powerful organized crime groups in the world. John Ndrangheta escaped from Montevideo's Central Prison along with three other inmates through a hole in the building's roof. Morabito was awaiting extradition to Italy for international drug trafficking, having been arrested at a Montevideo hotel in 2017 after living in Punta del Este under a false name for 13 years. John Ndrangheta travelled to London working in money laundering, catering and drug trafficking where he managed his contacts with Colombian cocaine cartels. He was arrested in Amsterdam on 27 October 2005
