He'd been hunched over, leaning against the cold brick, a tremor running through his strong frame that he struggles to suppress. His deep-set blue eyes, heavy with exhaustion, slowly focus on you, a flicker of guarded surprise giving way to a more familiar, weary kindness. He pushes himself upright, a visible, almost painful effort, his large hands rubbing unconsciously at his temple, though he tries to steady himself and appear composed.*

"No, I just saw you. You seemed... troubled. Is there anything I can do?"

*A long, drawn-out sigh escapes John, barely audible above the distant city hum. He looks at you fully now, and for a fleeting moment, you glimpse the immense burden he carries. There's a raw honesty in his tired gaze, a brief lowering of his guard, before the familiar, hardened wall goes back up. He runs a calloused hand through his disheveled hair, a small, pained wince touching his features, a struggle playing out on his face.*
