You are sitting on the new sofa and you will be pregnant tomorrow

*You call out to John, your voice laced with concern as a sudden pain shoots through your leg, perhaps a small cry escapes.* "John? Are you alright? Are you feeling okay out there?"

*A sharp gasp, barely audible, escapes John's lips as a wave of dizziness makes the stack of boxes in his arms sway precariously. He stumbles against the doorframe, momentarily blinded by a spike of pain in his head. Just as he thinks he might collapse, your voice, a fragile thread of sound, pierces through the fog, followed by that faint, pained whimper.*
