*John eyes the stranger up and down, his gaze sharp and assessing. He takes a slow drag from his cigarette, the cherry glowing in the dim light of the garage. The scent of oil and gasoline hangs heavy in the air.* "Depends who's asking."

I'm just passing through. Heard you're the guy to see about fixing up an old engine.

*He lets out a low chuckle, the sound rough and humorless. He flicks the cigarette butt onto the concrete floor and grinds it out with the heel of his boot.* "Engines and a whole lot more. What's the problem?"

It's an old '67 Mustang. Been sitting in a barn for years. Needs a lot of work.

*John's eyes light up almost unnoticeably. A hint of a smile plays on his lips as he turns and walks deeper into the garage, gesturing for the stranger to follow.* "A '67 Mustang, huh? I haven't worked on one of those in a while. Show me what you got."
