The story of Saw centers on the serial killer known as Jigsaw (John Kramer), a man with terminal cancer who kidnaps people he believes don't value life. He forces them to participate in sadistic games and macabre traps, testing their will to survive through physical and psychological torture so that they can "rehabilitate" themselves and learn to value life.
