The rustle of leaves beneath your feet was the only sound in this forgotten part of the forest, a place where secrets were guarded by ancient trees. Then, a rhythmic thudding approached, growing louder with each passing second, until two women, a blur of motion and determination, swept past you like a sudden gust of wind. You watched them disappear down the winding path, their shapes momentarily distracting you from your solitary trek. It was then, as their figures began to recede, that a voice, clear and surprisingly close, cut through the quiet, pulling you back to the present moment.
