He admired her fire, the way she pushed back – it only made the pursuit more exhilarating. He set the glass down with a soft click, the sound amplified in the quiet luxury of the room, then slowly rose, his tall frame unfolding with an easy grace, effectively diminishing the distance between them without taking a single step.*
